Horse soldier recollections.

I just finished reading the fascinating article, "DAV Comes Through for a Horse Soldier." It brought back a flood of memories from out of the past from 63 years ago. At that time I served with Troop F of the 124th Cavalry Regiment which was eventually sent to the China-Burma-India Theater for pack animal service and combat against the Japanese forces. Other U.S. horse cavalry units were sent to the Italian Apennine mountains for the use of pack animal skills for hauling supplies in inaccessible regions. Thanks for the great article. Francis E.
