Horse racing: Magritte's Derby quote.

IMPRESSIVE Tipperary winner Magritte has earned a 16-1 quote from Ladbrokes for the Vodafone Derby following his five- length trouncing of Asanine on Sunday.

Aidan O'Brien's newcomer, a full-brother to this year's Derby second The Great Gatsby, was sent off at 8-11 for the seven-furlong maiden and did not let his supporters down as he won easing up in the hands of Michael Kinane.

"This is a very serious racehorse racehorse

"It is admittedly early for Derby quotes but a win of that nature merits a genuine quote and 16- 1 says Magritte can go one better than his full-brother The Great Gatsby in next year's Vodafone Derby."

HIGH-CLASS French three-year-old Vespone has been bought by Godolphin.

The son of Llandaff, formerly trained at Chantilly by Nicolas Clement, is set to join Saeed bin Suroor Saeed bin Suroor (born October 10, 1967, Dubai), is a horse racing trainer. Formerly a policeman, he took out his training license in 1994 and the following year was appointed as the trainer for Sheikh Mohammed's Godolphin operation.  at Newmarket.

Vespone has won four of his five starts this season including Group Ones on his last two outings in the Prix Jean Prat The Prix Jean Prat is a Group 1 flat horse race in France for three-year-old thoroughbred colts and fillies. It is run over a distance of 1,600 metres (approximately 1 mile) at Chantilly Racecourse in early July.  and the Juddmonte Grand Prix de Paris.
