Horse Racing: The Rump stake has tasty look.

Byline: By Larry LYNX

RUMPLESTILTSKIN can complete a classic double double at Newmarket today.

Trainer Aidan O'Brien and his jockey Kieren Fallon landed both the Guineas last year. And with George Washington scoring in the colts' race yesterday, Rumplestiltskin will be a warm order for the fillies' version this afternoon.

O'Brien also runs Race for the Stars - but Fallon is certain that he is on the right one.

Winner of four of her five races, Rumplestiltskin ended the season in great style with two victories in Group One races.

She won the Moyglare Stakes over seven furlongs at The Cur ragh in September much more easily than the next verdict over Ugo Fire suggests.

The daughter of Danehill then went on to land the Prix Marcel Boussac Criterium at Longchamps the following month - again showing a fine turn of foot to beat Quiet Royal by a comfortable one length.

Rumplestiltskin (3.30) had Fallon and all concerned smiling with a recent sparkling workout, and I expect they will all have a similar expression by around 3.35 today.

Barry Hills can kick off the meeting with Dream Theme (1.45) in the Stan James Telebetting Handicap.

The lightly-raced three-year-old started the season with a five-length victory over Red Diadem over seven furlongs at Kempton last month.

This is his first venture in a handicap and the weight compiler may have been a touch lenient.

Sir Michael Stoute has a bright chance of a double at his local track with Echelon and Riyalma.

Echelon (2.15) was most consistent last term and has been working extremely well in recent home spins.

Riyalma (4.05) showed bags of ability on her only run last year when slowly into her stride and beaten a neck by Congressional at Leicester, and is now fancied to go one better.

Conquest (4.40) has been working brilliantly and connections will be most disappointed if the two-year-old fails to make a winning debut.
