Housed at www.hormone.org, the highly interactive site offers consumers, patients and health care providers the most comprehensive online collection of information on the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disease in which hormones play a role.

Recognizing a scarcity of online resources that address hormone-related information, The Hormone Foundation set out to fill the void by creating a visual, dynamic health-education Web site.

The result - www.hormone.com - is the only place on the Internet where one can find up-to-date information on a wide variety of hormone-related conditions including menopause, breast cancer, hormone abuse and pituitary pituitary /pi·tu·i·tary/ (pi-too´i-tar?e)

-- Find a physician/endocrine specialist

-- Sign up to receive email alerts on relevant health information

"From helpful links, to animated estrogen illustrations, The Hormone Foundation Web site features an arsenal of information that will inspire a greater understanding of hormones and disease," said Dr. Robert B. Jaffe, president of The Hormone Foundation. "A comprehensive site like this has been missing from the Web, so we're proud to offer patients, educators and health care providers the Internet's one-stop resource for all things endocrine," said Jaffe.

Launching and maintaining www.hormone.org is one of many projects of The Hormone Foundation, which boasts a successful public education track record.
