 clearance for the Vortex(R) MP Peripheral Access Port to further expand its family of vascular access vascular access Clinical medicine The ability to enter the vascular system; the ease with which the vascular system can be entered for administering therapy or obtaining blood for testing  ports. Ports are used for the infusion of medications, blood and nutrients and can also be used for blood sampling.

The Vortex(R) MP is ideally suited for peripheral use and is the first port in the Vortex(R) family to include the FluoroMax(TM) and PeelPro(TM) features.

The Vortex(R) MP is expected to be launched in November 2003.
