Honour for Gulf airman.



AN AIRMAN who served in the Gulf has received a commendation in the Queen's Birthday honours The Queen's Birthday Honours is a civic occasion on the celebration of the Queen's Birthday in which new members of most Commonwealth Realms honours are named. See Also

 list. Flt Sgt Flt Sgt Flight Sergeant  David James was rewarded for services to the RAF before the conflict.

The 34-year-old, originally from Bangor, also received high praise for his service in the Iraq war in a report from commanding officer TA Griffiths of his 2AE squadron - an aeromedical evacuation unit An operational medical organization concerned primarily with the management and control of patients being transported via an aeromedical evacuation system or system echelon. See also forward aeromedical evacuation.  which transported injured soldiers away from the war zone.

The report,by Sq Leader Griffiths said Flt Sgt James had responded to the diverse challenges thrown up by the Iraq war.

His dad,Dewi James, of Glan Conwy, said the family was proud and delighted.
