Parents in the Cleveland Cleveland, former county, England

 Public Schools are being asked to take the pledge A Bailment or delivery of Personal Property to a creditor as security for a debt or for the performance of an act.

Sometimes called bailment, pledges are a form of security to assure that a person will repay a debt or perform an act under contract.

The district encouraged parents of middle and high school students to accept the "Parents' Pledge of Responsibility" to ensure their children spend 90 minutes a night on homework, go to bed at a reasonable hour, unplug the TV, and attend school daily.

The school district started to promote the parental involvement program about a month before students were to take the state proficiency pro·fi·cien·cy
