Hong Kong International Airport and Chicago O'Hare Airport to become sister airports.

Airport Authority Hong Kong (AA) today announced it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA)

Under the terms of the MOU Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) and O'Hare International Airport will become sister airports.

The agreement outlines a range of areas of cooperation to build a strong and mutually beneficial relationship between the two airports in all aspects of aviation and related business.

Currently there are 14 passenger and 40 cargo flights a week between the two airports with Cathay Pacific indicating plans to begin a non-stop daily flight to Chicago in September this year.
