Hong Kong CSL Chooses Nokia as a Supplier of Its 3G Network; The Agreement Calls for Supply of Equipment and Professional Services.

1. CSL - Computer Structure Language. A computer hardware description language, written in BCPL.
 and Nokia have signed an agreement for the supply of CSL's 3G network. In addition to the supply of end-to-end network infrastructure equipment, Nokia will also provide project management service for the network implementation.

Project management service will include design, installation, commissioning and integration, as well as a comprehensive set of maintenance services. The services provided include Nokia Online Services, Help Desk, Software Maintenance, Hardware Maintenance, Technical Support, Emergency Support services support services Psychology Non-health care-related ancillary services–eg, transportation, financial aid, support groups, homemaker services, respite services, and other services , as well as Operator Competence Development to maintain the competitiveness of the network after rollout.

The agreement extends the two companies' co-operation which began in 1991, when Nokia became the first GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) A digital cellular phone technology based on TDMA that is the predominant system in Europe, but also used worldwide. Developed in the 1980s, GSM was first deployed in seven European countries in 1992.  supplier to CSL. Nokia has supplied both core and radio-access equipment, as well as GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) The first high-speed digital data service provided by cellular carriers that used the GSM technology.
