UPM will be able to consolidate its control operations into a single central control room. The deal includes upgrades of the pulp mill's fiber lines, the biological waste water treatment, and the steam boiler's Alcont systems with Experion technology-plus the supply of a new Experion system for the sack fiber line. The supply also includes a process history database (PHD) system, which generates reports covering the pulp and energy departments.
