The human resources department within an organization, years ago known as the "personnel department," manages the administrative aspects of the employees.  veteran Tom Weidenkopf to the position of Senior Vice President, Human Resources and Communications.

Honeywell's Board of Directors also has elected Weidenkopf, who will report to Honeywell President and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  Dave Cote, an executive officer of the company.

Weidenkopf, 43, was serving as Vice President, Human Resources for Honeywell's $10-billion global Aerospace segment. He joined the company (AlliedSignal) at the corporate level in 1995 as Corporate Director of Executive Staffing and Development, and also has served as Vice President, Human Resources, Aerospace Services. His career spans human resource leadership roles with Fortune 500 companies, including General Electric and PepsiCo.
