Recent Survey Shows Parents Willing To Pay For Products

Honeywell [NYSE: HON] today introduced the new Enviracaire Elite(TM) whole-house air quality system, a powerful solution to many of the air quality problems homeowners face. The system improves and refreshes the air in the entire home.

Today's homes are often sealed tightly to conserve energy. Unfortunately, they can seal in pollutants, too. Indoor pollution ranks among the top five environmental risks to public health, says the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. And Americans spend up to 90% of each day indoors and more than half of that at home, the agency says.

On the home front, 80% of consumers say that air quality at home is very important--so important that most parents are willing to pay to improve it, according to a recent survey conducted for Chelsea Group, an indoor air quality strategic consulting company.

Zaps, traps, moisturizes

The professionally installed Enviracaire Elite system improves and refreshes indoor air in three ways, says Winston. It:

-- Zaps airborne germs with ultraviolet air treatment. Bacteria and mold spores
can blow through your home every time your heating and cooling system's fan
runs. Something like a "bug zapper" for microscopic critters, the ultraviolet
air treatment system kills most airborne bacteria passing by the system before
they recirculate. And it kills 99.9% of the mold that could otherwise thrive on

More than 60% of people surveyed with children living at home said they would spend discretionary income to pay for products or services to improve air quality in their homes. More than 80% of homeowners surveyed believe that the quality of air in their homes is very important.
