Honeywell Hi-Spec Solutions' Profit Controller Technology Sales Exceed 500 in Just Two Years.

PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 9, 1998--Honeywell Hi-Spec Solutions has sold and implemented over 500 installations of its Profit Controller advanced process control application in the process industries since the product's release just two years ago.

Incorporating Honeywell Hi-Spec Solutions' industry-leading Robust Multivariable Predictive Control Technology (RMPCT), Profit Controller has rapidly gained wide market acceptance and has been implemented on refining and chemical process units around the world. Profit Controller provides significant benefits that contribute to profitability including increased plant throughput, less property give-away or greater quality consistency, and reduced energy consumption. In addition, Profit Controller yields outstanding payback times -- typically less than one year.

The 500th Profit Controller implementation was recently completed on a Furfural unit at TOTAL's oil refinery in Normandy near LeHavre, France. Ease of implementation and ready integration with existing control systems were crucial factors in TOTAL's decision to employ Profit Controller.
