Homer-Center High School Reports 30 Percent Increase in PSSA Math Scores; Hybrid Tutoring Solution from Apangea Learning a Key Driver Improved Performance on State Assessment Exams.

, Pa. -- Homer-Center High School today reported an increase of more than 30 percent in its scores on the math portion of the Pennsylvania System of School Assessments The annual Pennsylvania System of School Assessment (PSSA) is the Pennsylvania state standardized test. Every Pennsylvania student in grades 3 through 8 and grade 11 is assessed in reading and math. Every Pennsylvania student in grades 5, 8 and 11 is assessed in writing.  exam. A key driver of the school's improved performance was its use of SmartHelp Math Tutor TUTOR - A Scripting language on PLATO systems from CDC.
