Homeland Security Association launched. (Security Beat).


A group of 60 private companies formed the Homeland Security Noun 1. Homeland Security - the federal department that administers all matters relating to homeland security
Department of Homeland Security

executive department - a federal department in the executive branch of the government of the United States
 Industries Association, in Washington, D.C., this summer. The association developed seven position statements on various aspects of homeland security, including airport security, maritime security, bioterrorism/chemical and nuclear security, physical security/critical infrastructure protection, information security, information sharing See data conferencing.  technology, and best business practices.

The association charges corporate membership fees from $3,000 to $10,000, depending on the member's annual gross revenue. It plans to monitor and analyze homeland security legislation and regulations, as well as coordinate and disseminate dis·sem·i·nate
