Home Minister to leave for Bhutan today.

New Delhi New Delhi (dĕl`ē), city (1991 pop. 294,149), capital of India and of Delhi state, N central India, on the right bank of the Yamuna River. , Aug 21 (ANI): Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram Palaniappan Chidambaram (Tamil: பழனியப்பன் சிதம்பரம்) is an Indian politician.  will leave for Thimphu today on a three-day official visit to Bhutan.

During his visit, he will meet King of Bhutan Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, Prime Minister Jigmi Y Thinley, Fourth Druk Gyalpo Jigme Singye Wangchuck Jigme Singye Wangchuck (born November 11, 1955) was the fourth Dragon King (Druk Gyalpo) of Bhutan from 1972-2006. He acceded to the throne at the age of 16, in 1972, after the sudden death of his father, Jigme Dorji Wangchuck.  and Minister for Home and Cultural Affairs, Lyonpo Minjur Dorji.

The purpose of the visit is to further strengthen bilateral relations between India and Bhutan.

This will be the first foreign visit of Chidambaram after he took over as Union Home Minister in November last year. He will return to New Delhi on Monday. (ANI)
