Home Federal Bancorp Appoints New Director.

COLUMBUS, Ind.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 25, 2002

Home Federal Bancorp (Nasdaq:HOMF) announces the appointment of John "Spider" Miller to the Board of Directors of Home Federal Bancorp and its subsidiary, Home Federal Savings Bank. Mr. Miller fills the unexpired term of Lewis W. Essex, who retired from the Home Federal Bancorp Board after 30 years of service.

Currently, Mr. Miller is President of Best Beers Inc. located in Bloomington, Indiana. Mr. Miller earned his bachelors of science degree from Indiana University. Mr. Miller is a director for Group Link Insurance Company in Indianapolis and previously served as a director of Union Bank and Trust Company in North Vernon, Indiana. Mr. Miller and his wife, Kathy, have five children and they reside in Bloomington, Indiana.
