Hollywood business people decry housing plan for Yucca Corridor. Some owners and managers of property along the Yucca Corridor in Hollywood are outraged over plans to bring more low-income housing projects to their neighborhood. They say the projects threaten to destroy all the efforts they've made in the past year to make their community safer. "Basically, we've been turned into a dumping ground," complained James DiIorio, president of the Yucca Corridor Property Owners Association. "This will basically kill us." The Yucca Corridor is a mostly residential area north of Hollywood Boulevard For uses other than the original street, see Hollywood Boulevard (disambiguation). "Taking the worst buildings and turning them into clean, respectable, affordable housing is a very positive alternative for that neighborhood," said Gardner. "Low income people already live in the Yucca Corridor. There is (government) money available right now to develop affordable housing, especially if the property is earthquake-damaged." Other plans opposed The existing property owners also oppose plans by a known "slumlord slum·lord n.
