Her book is a practical guide to interracial relationships based on her professional and personal experience. While it is subtitled as if it is specifically for "the black person," it is a useful guide for anyone of any race involved in such a relationship, including the families of the partners. It covers a wide range of topics, including meeting and falling in love with a member of another race, a list of the best places to live, dealing with parents and other relatives, planning a wedding, raising multiracial children and adjusting to racism for the white partners.
