Hoboken luxury complex sold to ING in $70m deal.


Kushner Companies has sold The Curling curling, winter sport, similar in principle to bowls and quoits (see horseshoe pitching), played on an ice court by teams of four. Each player hurls a squat, circular stone—weighing 38 lb (17.  Club luxury apartment complex in Hoboken, N.J. to ING Clarion A family of application development systems for Windows from SoftVelocity, Inc., Pompano Beach, FL (www.softvelocity.com). Clarion provides a comprehensive set of tools for development, including a screen builder, 4GL and application generator.  Partners, announced Andrew Merin, executive vice president of Cushman & Wakefield of New Jersey's metropolitan area investment sales group.

 represented Kushner Companies and identified ING Clarion as the buyer in the $70 million transaction.

Located between 11th and 12th Avenues at 1122 Grand St., the 240unit Curling Club complex is located just minutes away from Manhattan via the PATH train and ferry service. Kushner Companies acquired the former industrial site in 1998, attracted by the potential of the evolving multi-family market in Hoboken.

In late 1999, the firm completed construction of The Curling Club, which has consistently maintained occupancy rates Noun 1. occupancy rate - the percentage of all rental units (as in hotels) are occupied or rented at a given time
