Hoboken greets new retailers.

Jerry Rockoff, senior director with RKF RKF Rapid Knowledge Formation , represented building owner, Bijou Properties, in both transactions. He also represented Eckerd Drug Store in its lease.

 of 14th Street and Park Avenue in Hoboken. It offers nearly 200 feet of frontage on one of northern Hoboken's main streets. Bijou Properties is converting the former Hostess manufacturing facility to retail use, while maintaining the 100-year-old building's historic appeal.

New York Sports Club, the health and fitness club chain, has signed its lease for 20 years. This is the health club's second Hoboken location, The retailer plans to open its doors in October.

"This new location will complement New York Sports Club's other site on the opposite side of the city, allowing the health club to serve the entire Hoboken community," said Rockoff.

Eckerd, the retail drug store chain, signed its lease for 15 years. The new store will open in October.

"This is part of Eckerd's ongoing expansion into new markets in Northern New Jersey," said Rockoff. "The store's location in the northern section of Hoboken allows the retailer to tap the area's rapid commercial and residential growth."
