Ho-lee-day mad Hughes packs his Baggies for a month of Sun-days.

WEST Bromwich Albion striker Lee Hughes has turned from goaaker to holiday-maker.

The flame-haired forward will soon be packing his Baggies for his fourth holiday inside a month.

The 21-year-old top scorer travelled to Magalu Majorca, with the rest of his team-mates for seven days on their end-oeason trip to the sun.

He then returned home to the Midlands only to fly out to Tenerife with a pal days later for a week.

Lee, who recently signed a new pounds 2,000-a-week contract with Albion, returned to Blighty only to fly back to Majorca with a whole bunch of mates including his former Kidderminster team-mate Marcus Bignott, now at Crewe.

And on his return next week, Hughes flies out to Portugal for a golfing break in Lisbon with another pal .

Just 12 months ago Lee was a Smethwick roofer working for dad Bill and earning little more than pounds 150 a week.

His 45-year-old mum Gail said: "Last year he came on holiday with the rest of the family to Salou, in Spain. This year he's all over the place.

"It's not bad for some is it. Lee has been enjoying himself in the sun while the rest of us are back home in this miserable weather!"

While Hughes soaks up the warm Mediterranean weather, his folks, including brothers Clint, aged 18, and Brett, 13, are back in Smethwick working hard refurbishing his new home!

Gail added: "He has bought a nice, new house which is almost at the bottom of the garden.

"While he is sunning himsel we are getting everything in order. But that's what mums and dads are for!"

However Albion boss Denis Smith will bring Hughes crashing back down to earth when he sends the entire squad for a week of intensive fitness training in Oxford in preparation for the new campaign next month.
