Hitachi Wins Order for Service to Operate and Support Pumping Station in Egypt.


Tokyo, Japan, Aug 24, 2005 - (JCNN JCNN Japan Corporate News Network ) - Hitachi Operation & Maintenance-Egypt, S.A.E. announced on August 23 that it has signed a contract to operate and support the Mubarak pumping station in Egypt over a period of four years with the Egyptian Department of Machines and Electricity of Ministry of Water Resource Irrigation irrigation, in agriculture, artificial watering of the land. Although used chiefly in regions with annual rainfall of less than 20 in. (51 cm), it is also used in wetter areas to grow certain crops, e.g., rice. .
