Hitachi Reaches Multi-Platform Sponsorship Agreement with FSN and FOXSports.com on MSN.

Coronado is across the bay.  -- Hitachi America, Ltd. and Fox Cable Sports announced today a multi-platform sponsorship agreement that gives Hitachi a major advertising presence on Fox Sports Net (FSN (Full-Service Network) A communications network that provides shopping, movies on demand and access to databases and a variety of interactive services. ) and FOXSports.com on MSN (1) (MicroSoft Network) A family of Internet-based services from Microsoft, which includes a search engine, e-mail (Hotmail), instant messaging (Windows Live Messaging) and a general-purpose portal with news, information and shopping (MSN Directory).  this college football season. FSN has national television rights for Big 12 and Pac-10 football games, and is scheduled to carry 23 games this season.

The new agreement calls for Hitachi to be the title sponsor of FSN's Big 12 and Pac-10 college football halftime coverage, which this season will be titled The Hitachi Halftime Show A halftime show is a performance given between the first and second halves or the 2nd and 3rd quarters of a sporting event. Halftime shows are not given for sports with an irregular or indeterminate number of divisions (such as baseball or boxing), or for sports that don't stop. . The deal also includes a product integration component as the show's set will prominently feature seven state-of-the-art Hitachi plasma televisions (six 42" screens and one 50" screen). In addition, Hitachi will be the presenting sponsor for the 20 game telecasts FSN is scheduled to produce in high-definition, and Hitachi also will sponsor the College Football Scoreboard College Football Scoreboard is a program on ESPN and ESPN2 that provies up to the minute scores and highlights during the college football season. The official name is College Football Scoreboard presented by Acura.  on FOXSports.com on MSN, one of the top sports sites on the Web, with more than 14 million unique visitors A count of how many different people access a Web site. For example, if a user leaves and comes back to the site five times during the measurement period, that person is counted as one unique visitor, but would count as five "user sessions.  per month.
