Hitachi Information & Control Systems to Launch USB Memory to Enable Remote Access.
Tokyo, Japan, Jan 13, 2006 - (JCN) - Hitachi Information & Control Systems (HICOS HICOS - Hierarchical Integrated Case-Processing System), a Hitachi subsidiary, will bring to market the SecuLiCa, a USB memory device to enable users to remotely access their office or home PCs, in March.
The SecuLiCa comes with software including remote PC boosting and PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) authorization programs.
HICOS will target schools, training facilities and hospitals where a PC is often shared by many people, as well as medium-size and large enterprises.
The product sells for 25,000 yen ($219) and upward. The company aims to supply the SecuLiCa to 500 companies and achieve 2.5 billion yen ($21.9 mil) in sales by fiscal 2007.
