Hitachi Data Systems Reports TPC-D Benchmark Results On Powerful Data Mart for Windows NT Environments.

Hitachi Data Systems today announced benchmark testing results on a data mart configuration delivering three times the performance at less than one-seventh the cost of the closest reported results for systems in the same category.

The system tested by Hitachi Data Systems is based on its AD450NX NT Server with IBM DB2(R) Universal Database running Windows NT(R). In the TPC-D benchmark tests described today, queries were directed to a 30-gigabyte database stored in a Hitachi Freedom Storage(TM) 5800 subsystem. The storage was attached to the server via high-speed Fibre Channel connections.
