Hitachi Banks on W&M.

Hitachi Cable  America, Inc. has signed an early renewal and expanded its offices at W&M Properties' Ten Bank Street, White Plains, according to Jeffrey H. Newman, executive vice president of W&M, the marketing and managing agent for the building.

Hitachi, a manufacturer and marketer of products ranging from wires and cables to information processing and telecommunications equipment and systems, will occupy 5,728 s/f with the new 10-year lease. This represents an increase of 1,850 s/ f over its existing space, which it has occupied since 1996.

W&M Construction will build out the additional space for the tenant, which is moving from the sixth floor to its new, larger space on the fifth floor. Jason D. Pizer, Director of Leasing and Mr. Newman represented the building owner in the lease negotiations. Tomoko Sasaki, of Chilmark Consultants, represented the tenant.
