NORMAL, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 28, 1999

HitProducer.com is now developing a new multi-user dungeon Multi-User Dungeon - Multi-User Dimension  (MUD) game on its website.

This game will have features not available to many gamers in other games of its nature. Although the MUD is still in the late stages of development, visitors can sign up for positions including: beta testing (programming) beta testing - Testing a pre-release (potentially unreliable) version of a piece of software by making it available to selected users. This term derives from early 1960s terminology for product cycle checkpoints, first used at IBM but later standard throughout the , graphic artists, and PERL programmers This is a list of programmers notable for their contributions to software, either as original author or architect, or for later additions.

Michaels is the largest arts and crafts retail chain in the United States.
, the president and founder of HitProducer.com, got involved with the game earlier this year after a close friend pitched him the idea of the game. "I really thought that the game would become profitable, and already, I can see that my investment of time and money is paying off," he said at a recent briefing.

Zach Rankaitis, who pitched Mr. Michaels the idea, has been working hard since November November: see month.  to spring interest into the new game. "It's not just a game for me. It's an experience that is going to last my entire lifetime," responding to a question if he was in this venture just for the money.

Michaels and Rankaitis are scheduled to unveil their MUD at a future meeting with the press. Both hinted that the final product may be out to Beta testers next week sometime. As for the game itself, many new features will be implemented such as:

Having Animals as Pets - This will add more of an emotional attachment to the game.

A Working Government - Users will be able to elect Senators, Presidents, Mayors, and other positions to act on their behalf in the game.

A New-Age Battle System - More experience points, magic, and other factors adding to the gaming experience.
