Although many scholars in the field are trained primarily as either historians or as philosophers, there are degree-granting departments of met on February 14, 2003 during the 67th annual meeting of The Mississippi Academy of Science (MAS) held at the Lake Terrace Convention Center in Hattiesburg, Mississippi Hattiesburg is a city in Forrest County in Mississippi, a state of the United States of America. There were nine presentations addressing interesting aspects of the philosophical and historical facets of science. Three of these presentations focused on the philosophical approach of species.
