Educational institution, usually for training in theology. In the U.S. the term was formerly also used to refer to institutions of higher learning for women, often teachers' colleges.

 have agreed to establish an African American African American Multiculture A person having origins in any of the black racial groups of Africa. See Race.  Historical Collection at the seminary's Bishop Payne Library. The collection will include oral histories, documents, institutional records and photographs that chronicle the lives and experiences of African American Episcopalians. The library will build additional archival space in the summer of 2003 to accommodate the collection. Materials will be available for scholarly research and for the education of the wider church.
