Hip crowd moves to Roc Center.

The GVA Williams retail team has identified new locations for retailers, Journeys and LIDS, directly adjacent to Rockefeller Center at 590 Fifth.

Journeys, a footwear and accessories store, and LIDS, a contemporary headwear store, are slated to split the 3,900 s/f ground floor of the 19story building. Both are brands of the national retailer Genesco. The new Fifth Avenue location adds to Genesco's rapid growth in the New York City market. Previously, GVA Williams represented Genesco in lease negotiations for a 3,500 s/f Journeys store in Herald Center on 34th Street; 2,500 s/f Journeys store at 28 East 14th Street; a 3,600 s/f LIDS store in Brooklyn's Fulton Mall; a 1,100 s/f LIDS store at 2902 Third Avenue, Bronx; a 1,425 s/f LIDS store at 252 West 125th.

Patrick Breslin, head of the retail team, and Cristina Hawes, director of GVA Williams represented Genesco in negotiating the 10-year lease. The building's landlord, The Feil Organization, was represented in-house by its director of leasing, Randall Briskin.
