Hines partner receives ICSC service award.

) has announced that George J. Walsh III has received the 2007 ICSC Distinguished Service Award at its spring conference being held this week in Las Vegas Las Vegas (läs vā`gəs), city (1990 pop. 258,295), seat of Clark co., S Nev.; inc. 1911. It is the largest city in Nevada and the center of one of the fastest-growing urban areas in the United States. .

The award is the highest in the shopping center shopping center, a concentration of retail, service, and entertainment enterprises designed to serve the surrounding region. The modern shopping center differs from its antecedents—bazaars and marketplaces—in that the shops are usually amalgamated into  industry and recognizes contributions to the success of the worldwide retail real estate market.

In addition to the presentation at the ICSC spring conference, Walsh will also be honored during the U.S. Law Conference this October in San Diego.

Walsh is partner-in-charge of Thompson Hine's New York New York, state, United States
New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of
 office and a member of the firm's Real Estate practice group.

He has over 30 years of experience in real estate law and has been involved with the ICSC for more than 20 years, serving in a variety of leadership roles.

Currently, he serves as chair of the Law Committee to the ICSC General Counsel. Beyond his work with the ICSC, Walsh is the associate dean of the School of Shopping Center Law for the University of Shopping Centers, held each year at The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania (body, education) University of Pennsylvania - The home of ENIAC and Machiavelli.

Its 65,000 members in the United States, Canada and more than 80 other countries include shopping center owners, developers, managers, marketing specialists, investors, lenders, retailers and other professionals as well as academics and public officials.
