Himont and Showa Denko Showa Denko K. K. (昭和電工株式会社   K.K. of Japan have signed a letter of intent for a technological and production joint venture in Japan in the specialty polymers sector. The joint venture will produce and market in Japan polymers and compounds using Himont's Catalloy technology and certain polypropylene-based advanced materials Advanced Materials is a leading peer-reviewed materials science journal published every two weeks. Advanced Materials includes Communications, Reviews, and Feature Articles from the cutting edge of materials science, including topics in chemistry, physics, , currently manufactured and marketed by both companies. The venture is planning to first strengthen the Japanese Japanese (jăp'ənēz`), language of uncertain origin that is spoken by more than 125 million people, most of whom live in Japan. There are also many speakers of Japanese in the Ryukyu Islands, Korea, Taiwan, parts of the United States, and  market and then expand globally in the future.
