Hilton Hotel rises at World Trade Center.Hilton Hotel rises at World Trade Center The World Trade Center Hilton Hotel, an $80 million hotel that is the second of four phases in a $550 million master-planned development in Long Beach, broke ground last week. Developer of the 15-story hotel is IDM/Kajima International Inc. The Hilton will join another building -- a 27-story office tower -- that has been constructed as part of the Trade Center plan. The master plan calls for the construction of three additional office towers totaling 2 million square feet of space, plus retail space to house restaurants, a health club, a day care center and other amenities. Next year at this time, a third phase is planned to break ground and later, at an undetermined time, a final phase will round out the project. The Hilton will have 393 rooms, a coffee shop and restaurant and nearly 18,000 square feet of convention space, including a ballroom
