TORONTO -- James Salter, CEO of Hilco Consumer Capital, LLC, ("HCC") today announced the acquisition of New York City based Apparel Holdings Group ("AHG AHG - Ad Hoc Group
AHG - American Herbalists Guild
AHG - Anti-Human Globulin
AHG - Antihemophilic Globulin
AHG - Automotive Holdings Group
"), a leader in design, manufacture, marketing and distribution of women's, men's, junior and kid's apparel under the Caribbean Joe([R]), Periscope([R]), and Cupid's Cup([R]) trademarks, and other private labels. The acquisition also includes AHG Licensing, Inc., a subsidiary that owns and manages numerous strategic brand licensing agreements in both apparel and non-apparel categories. Terms were not disclosed.

Mr. Salter also announced that the go-forward company will be operated as CJ Apparel Group to better reflect the company's identity, and that Mr. Jeffrey Levy has been named as President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Levy has over 30 years of management experience in the apparel industry with companies such as Jones Apparel Group and Kellwood.

"Hilco's investment in CJ Apparel is based on our strong belief that there is significant additional value in the company and its market-leading brands, Caribbean Joe([R]), Havana Jack's Cafe([R]), Jamaica Bay Jamaica Bay, c.20 sq mi (50 sq km), SW Long Island, SE N.Y., separated from the Atlantic Ocean by Rockaway Peninsula; the Rockaway Inlet links it to the sea. The shallow bay has many islands, and its shores are generally marshy. There is a minimum of water movement, and pollution is a problem. Nearly all of the bay is in the boroughs of Brooklyn and Queens in New York City; since 1950 much of the adjacent area has been reclaimed for housing. John F.([R]), Periscope([R]) and Cupid's Cup([R])," said Mr. Salter. "We look forward to working with Jeff Levy and the CJ Apparel Group team."

 Wholesale, owner of the Vision Streetwear([R]) and Alien([R]) golf brands. Currently, Mr. Salter is also co-chairman of Collective Licensing International, a brand development and licensing company that now owns many of the aforementioned brand names.

Working with Mr. Salter are Stewart L. Cohen, Chief Investment Officer; Kenny Finkelstein, Senior Financial Advisor; Neil Aaronson, Managing Director; Richard Kaye, Chief Marketing Officer; Brandon Bohr Niels Henrik David 1885-1962.

Mr. Aaronson has nearly 10 years of merger, acquisition, investment and general deal-making experience. During his career, Mr. Aaronson has been instrumental in the successful completion of over $4 billion in transactions. Mr. Kaye has more than 35 years of corporate strategic and tactical marketing experience. Mr. Bohr has nearly ten years of merger and acquisition, investment banking and general deal-making experience. Mr. Kaup has documented and closed over one hundred transactions, representing an aggregate asset valuation approaching $1 billion.
