Highwoods Declares Quarterly Dividends.


RALEIGH, N.C. -- Highwoods Properties' (NYSE NYSE

: HIW HIW High Intensity War ) Board of Directors today declared a cash dividend of $0.425 per share of common stock for the quarter ended June 30, 2007, which equates to an annual dividend of $1.70 per share, and is payable on September 4, 2007, to shareholders of record as of August 13, 2007.

The Board also declared a cash dividend of $21.5625 per share of Highwoods Properties Series A Cumulative Redeemable Preferred Stock Stock shares that have preferential rights to dividends or to amounts distributable on liquidation, or to both, ahead of common shareholders.

Preferred stock is given preference over common stock. Holders of preferred stock receive dividends at a fixed annual rate.
. The dividend is payable on August 31, 2007, which is the next regularly scheduled dividend payment date, to shareholders of record as of August 15, 2007.

The Board also declared a cash dividend of $0.50 per share of Highwoods Properties Series B Cumulative Redeemable Preferred Stock. The dividend is payable on September 17, 2007, which is the next regularly scheduled dividend payment date, to shareholders of record as of September 3, 2007.
