A notable change was Jay Gellert Jay Gellert (born 1956 in New York City, New York) is the current CEO and President of Health Net, Inc. of Health Net Inc. who did not place in the top 25 last year but ranked No. 5 on this year's list. Eight other company leaders who were not among the top 25 in 2005 also landed on the 2006 list. THE PACESETTER ANGELO R. MOZILO Angelo R. Mozilo is the chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Countrywide Financial. He is the son of a Bronx butcher. In 1969 he and David Loeb, who had already started a mortgage lending company, founded Countrywide Credit Industries in New York. WHEN Angelo R. Mozilo co-founded Calabasas-based Countrywide Financial Countrywide Financial Corporation (NYSE: CFC) is a diversified financial marketing and service holding company engaged primarily in residential mortgage banking and related businesses. exercised. This is the total dollar value realized by the CEO during
the year.
Effectiveness Rating-Aggregate take-home divided by company net
income. This is a measure of what it cost shareholders, through cash
compensation, restricted stock grants and value granted through options
exercises, for financial performance for the year.
Only CEOs of public companies based in the greater SFV were included.
(1) Iger's compensation refers to his position as president of Walt
Disney Co. until October 1, 2005. Iger became president and chief
executive officer effective October 2, 2005.
(2) Goldman was CEO of Power-One until February 2006 and was
succeeded by William Yeates.
