HighWired.com Receives $30 Million in Venture Capital Financing; Charles River Ventures and North Bridge Venture Partners Lead Second Round of Funding.

WATERTOWN, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 27, 2000

HighWired.com, the world's largest community of online high schools, today announced that it has raised $30 million in venture capital financing To start an own company or to bring a new product to the market, the venture may need to attract financial funding. There are several categories of financing possibilities. If it is a small venture, then perhaps the venture can rely on family funding, loans from friends . Charles River Ventures and North Bridge Venture Partners, who led investors in the first round of financing for HighWired.com, once again co-lead in this second round, in which HighWired.com receives investments from Broadband Ventures Group LLC (Logical Link Control) See "LANs" under data link protocol.
