High strength alumina composite.

Zircar Refractory refractory

Material that is not deformed or damaged by high temperatures, used to make crucibles, incinerators, insulation, and furnaces, particularly metallurgical furnaces.
Composites Inc. introduced Refractory Sheet Type RS-99, a medium-density, fiber reinforced ceramic composite material composite material or composite, any material made from at least two discrete substances, such as concrete. Many materials are produced as composites, such as the fiberglass-reinforced plastics used for automobile bodies and boat hulls, but the  with greater than 99% alumina alumina (əl`mĭnə) or aluminum oxide, Al2O3, chemical compound with m.p. about 2,000°C; and sp. gr. about 4.0.  purity. It exhibits good hot strength and creep resistance and is useful up to 3,002F (1,650C). Type RS-99 resists the flow of hydrogen or other hot gasses through its thickness and is ideal for high vacuum atmospheres where silica cannot be tolerated, such as investment casting investment casting
