You race to make a charter flight, stress about a big meeting awaiting you at your destination and then--your flight attendant gives you a facial?

After a year-and-a-half spent developing its "health resort in the sky" concept and having its attendants trained by estheticians, private jet charter company Trans-Exec Air Service in Van Nuys thinks it's onto something.

The idea for Flight Spa came about after Trans-Exec President David Bilson took the suggestion of his wife, who often receives facials after flying, and treated himself to one. Bilson then spoke to the esthetician about whether the service could be performed on an airplane.

"We found as we got into longer-range jets and started to fly cross-country and international flights, especially if you're sleeping, you wake up to feel like you've just slept in a box of Wheaties," said Bilson. "You'd be dry, and your eyes would be stuck together."

Flight Spa includes services like hydrating facials, regenerating eye treatments and lifts, treatments with oxygenating skin softeners and neck and shoulder massages.
