Hibernia Foods plc (NASDAQ: HIBNY, HIBZF, HIBWF) (the "Company") today announced the official launch of its new corporate web-site will take place on Saturday May 27th 2000. To commemorate the launch, the Company's web-site, which can be accessed at: www.hiberniafoods.ie, will feature the live, world wide broadcast of both the Entenmann's 2,000 Guineas and the Entenmann's 1,000 Guineas classic horse races from the Curragh race-course in Kildare, Ireland. Hibernia Foods plc is the exclusive sponsor of these races, which are regarded as among the most highly coveted in Europe, similar in prestige to America's "Triple Crown". The 2,000 Guineas will be broadcast at 15.50 hrs GMT (10:50 a.m. Eastern Standard Time) on Saturday, May 27th and the 1,000 Guineas will be broadcast at 16.15 hrs GMT (11:15 a.m. Eastern Standard Time) on Sunday, May 28th. In addition to being accessible to viewers through the World Wide Web, major television networks, including the BBC and Channel 4 in the U.K. as well as Irish national television will broadcast both races live.

The launch of Hibernia's web-site is an important milestone, representing the convergence of the Company's expansion throughout Europe, with the Internet and future e-commerce initiatives.
