Hewlett-Packard to Bundle MIPS' Electronic Forms Automation Software and Check Printing Solutions.

SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 28, 1998--MIPS Dataline America, Inc. and Hewlett-Packard Company (NYSE:HWP) have entered into a Software Licensing and Distribution agreement whereby Hewlett- Packard has licensed software from MIPS Dataline America to bundle with the new HP LaserJet 1100se printer and HP LaserJet 1100Ase printer-copier-scanner. The bundled MIPS software, The ExpressForms Value Pack, eliminates the need for pre-printed forms and delivers substantial cost savings to the consumer.

The new ExpressForms Value Pack includes MIPS ExpressForms Plus, together with demonstrations versions of MIPS VersaCheck Personal, MIPS MergeServer and a $20 rebate coupon. All software components run under Microsoft Windows 3.1/95 and 98 (NSDQ: MSFT), and are designed to complement printers, accounting and forms software from such companies as: Intuit (NSDQ:INTU), Deluxe (NYSE:DLX), Harland (NYSE:JH), Microsoft and State of the Art.
