Hero central is serving military heroes with a mortgage-free home.

Serving the heroes who have served for us. " That's the motto of the Military Warriors Support Foundation. Military Warriors Support Foundation awards mortgage-free homes to wounded heroes injured during combat in Iraq and Afghanistan. The homes are for families who have severe and/or unique circumstances due to their injuries received while serving our country. In addition to the home, the families will receive three years of family and financial mentoring.

To apply for a home, applicants must meet the following qualifications:

* Must be a combat wounded veteran of Iraq or Afghanistan. Purple Heart recipient preferred.

* Must be already retired or separated from the military. Those with compelling situations, whom are less than 30 days from retirement or separation may be considered.

* Must not currently have a mortgage.

The foundation, along with Governor Mike Beebe and First Lady Ginger Beebe, will be gifting a home to an Arkansas wounded soldier on Thursday, March 22 during the 'Grand Banquet Ball' at the Arkansas Governor's Mansion.
