), today announced that it has reached an agreement in principal to acquire AMT See vPro.  for cash.

AMT is a leader in the design, development and manufacture of high power, solid state amplifiers for the scientific and medical markets. Closing is expected within thirty days subject to a satisfactory due diligence and approval of Herley's Board of Directors.

AMT has built strong customer relationships based on their ability to deliver products on time that provide exceptional performance, high quality and superior reliability. AMT's customers include major corporations, universities, and research centers worldwide.

AMT's scientific products, power amplifiers covering frequency ranges of 6 MHz (MegaHertZ) One million cycles per second. It is used to measure the transmission speed of electronic devices, including channels, buses and the computer's internal clock. A one-megahertz clock (1 MHz) means some number of bits (16, 32, 64, etc.  to 950 MHz, are used in Nuclear Magnetic Resonance nuclear magnetic resonance: see magnetic resonance.
