Heritage on CD-ROM: firm offers Black history software.


Minneapolis-based Computerized Educational Resources (800-948-1237) offers a number of software titles that help explore various aspects of black history. All its CD offerings make it easy to point-and-click your way to enlightenment.

Lessons from History, a Celebration "A Celebration" was a non-album single released by U2 between the October and War albums in 1982. It is probably better known for its B-side, "Trash, Trampoline and the Party Girl" (later shortened to "Party Girl"), which has become a fan favorite throughout the  of Blackness ($69) shows the impact that African Americans African American Multiculture A person having origins in any of the black racial groups of Africa. See Race.  have had on history, focusing on black heroes such as Frederick Douglass and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Although the visual images could be enhanced, the educational value of the CD is well worth the investment. CER's newest release, The Negro Leagues Negro leagues

Associations of teams of black baseball players active largely between 1920 and the late 1940s. The principal leagues were the Negro National League, originally organized by Rube Foster in 1920, and the Negro American League, organized in 1937.
