Hercules, G-P have "good chemistry.".

Hercules Incorporated, Wilmington, Delaware, USA, and Atlanta-based Georgia-Pacific Corp. have completed negotiations relating to management of G-P's chemical needs through 2005. Hercules is now managing the process chemicals for 11 of Georgia-Pacific's U.S. mill sites and functional chemicals at all G-P mill sites in the United States except one. The contract will be in effect from November 2001 until 2005.

In other Hercules news, the Pulp and Paper Division has introduced the new Hercules Sizing Tester. The HST has been the industry standard for measuring the sizing of paper by TAPPI Method T530 for more than 30 years. The new, black HST will replace the familiar green model and features automated data acquisition using a standardized RS-232 port computer connection, solid state electronics for ease of maintenance, and push-button calibration for improved test repeatability.
