Hercules, Agapol form joint venture.

A letter of intent has been signed by Agapol, Buenos Aires, Argentina and Hercules, Wilmington, DE for the formation of a joint venture to manufacture and market polypropylene thermal bond fibers in Argentina. The venture would target nonwoven hygiene absorbent markets. Formation of the venture is contingent upon the completion of definitive legal agreements.

Agapol is a leading supplier to polypropylene fiber in Argentina and has been operating there since 1976. Its pigmented staple, bulked continuous filaments and upholstery fabrics are not included in the agreement.
