Henry Ronald "Hank" Sherblum.MELBOURNE, FL / DOUGLAS, MA Henry Ronald Hank Sherblum, 68, of Melbourne, FL, formerly of Douglas, died Sat., September 1, 2007, in the Brigham & Women's Hospital/Dana Farber Cancer Ctr., Boston. He was the loving husband to Mary Maureen (Devine) Sherblum.Mr. Sherblum had worked for the U.S. Postal Service The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) processes and delivers mail to individuals and businesses within the United States. The service seeks to improve its performance through the development of efficient mail-handling systems and operates its own planning and engineering programs. for 12 years at the Shrewsbury distribution center retiring in 2002. He had previously been employed at Worcester Quality Foods, Worcester for 13 years. Mr. Sherblum served in the US Air Force for more than 20 years and attained the rank of a Senior Master Sergeant senior master sergeant n. 1. Abbr. Mr. Sherblum was born Aug. 22, 1939 in Milford, the son of the late Carl A. and Gertrude Z. (Hutchinson) Sherblum and had lived in Providence, RI, Leominster, MA and Douglas before moving to Melbourne, FL five years ago. Mr. Sherblum was a member of the American Legion American Legion, national association of male and female war veterans, founded (1919) in Paris. Membership is open to veterans of World Wars I and II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. , Vernon Hill Vernon Hill II (born circa 1946) is the founder and former chairman, president, and chief executive officer of Commerce Bancorp and Commerce Bank of Cherry Hill Township, New Jersey. In addition to his devoted wife of 39 years, he is survived by his two loving daughters, Kimberley R. and her husband Troy S. Pare of Wauregan, CT and Karen M. and her husband Eric S. Jernstrom of Danielson, CT; two brothers; Carl A. Sherblum of Coventry, RI and Robert F. Sherblum of North Providence, RI; five sisters, Gertrude M. Woods of Edgewater, FL, Jane E. McGuire of Providence, RI, Jean M. Ward of Ruidoso, NM, Ann M. Pedchenko of West Melbourne, FL, and Ina A. Raftery of Providence; one grandson, Hunter Ian Pare of Wauregan, CT, and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by one brother, John Sherblum and two sisters, Claire Sherblum and Christine Sherblum. Funeral services, with full military honors, will be held Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007 at 10 AM from the BUMA BUMA Bounce Up My Ass (military slang) FUNERAL HOME, 101 N.
