There's lots of room up here in the North, the mayors of Northern Ontario's major urban centres told Ontario Public Infrastructure Renewal Minister David Caplan in mid-December.

In response to the urban sprawl crisis looming in southern Ontario, Sudbury Mayor David Courtemanche, Sault Ste. Marie Sault Sainte Marie — pronounced "Soo Saint Marie" (IPA /su seɪnt məˈɹi/) — is the name of two cities on the Saint Marys River, which forms part of the boundary between the United States and Canada.  Mayor John Rowswell, Thunder Bay Mayor Lynn Peterson, Timmins Mayor Vic Power and North Bay Mayor Vic Fedeli presented Caplan with a draft plan called "Creating Our Future."
