Helius Inc. Introduces MediaSignage Version 2.1; Upgrade Delivers Support for Flash Content and Increased Scheduling Flexibility.


ORLANDO, Fla. -- Helius Inc., leading developer of distributed IP video solutions for business, today announced the launch of its MediaSignage 2.1 software upgrade. MediaSignage is a powerful, browser-based digital signage Digital signage is a form of out-of-home advertising in which content and messages displayed on an electronic screen, or digital sign, can be changed without modification to the physical sign, typically with the goal of delivering targeted messages to specific locations at  scheduling and distribution software application. This new version includes support for Macromedia Flash content and other customer-driven enhancements.

Helius' MediaSignage software is designed to simplify scheduling while distributing rich-media content and playlists to multiple display points from a central location. With the addition of Flash content support, users have more options for presenting rich-media messages. Additionally, the new MediaSignage 2.1 software offers improved scheduling flexibility. The "drag and drop A graphical user interface (GUI) capability that lets you perform operations by moving the icon of an object with the mouse into another window or onto another icon. For example, files can be copied or moved by dragging them from one folder to another. " interface enables the development of unique playlists for playback at specific times on numerous displays. MediaSignage customers have a network-wide broadcast solution that communicates business-critical information to the right target at the right time.
